We cannot say enough praise for Asia Top Travel and the wonderful experience they provided us in planning and carrying out our personal tour of Vietnam! !! A friend returning from a group tour of Vietnam raved about their guide Vu Minh Tho as making their tour so outstanding. She told us that he had started his own travel agency (Asia Top Travel) and that he could be trusted to plan a memorable experience for us. We are seniors, in our 70's who have lived and taught in Africa in the 1960:s and have always traveled on our own. We wanted a personal experience with the local people including important highlights of VietNam itself. Asia Top Travel put together a marvelous tour for us for our two weeks in Viet Nam . From the moment we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City , picked up at the airport by our local personal guide Trang and driver, some sightseeing and delivered at our hotel for a rest before further excursions, we knew this was going to be a special experience. Plans were arranged and rearranged according to our energy levels and personal tastes and wishes. The hotel, and all subsequent hotels, were superb ... boutique, selected with so many details in mind - excellent locations, close to the sights we were interested in seeing, lovely rooms with comfortable beds, quiet with views, providing us a head start to an enjoyable experience. These hotels were not where tour groups were staying, but ones which businessmen, and Asian and European travelers selected. Service and food were always excellent, and included many upgrades to what we actually paid for. Each guide provided us interesting insights, always welcoming interaction, responding intelligently to our many questions and personalizing our experiences. We found each experience even more outstanding than the last! All of this was overseen by the agency director Vu Minh Tho, keeping close tabs on how we were doing and if everything was to our liking. The culmination of our tour included a night train to Sapa accompanied by Mr. Tho, trekking and visiting with local hill tribes people, a traditional weekly market, a Deluxe Junk Cruise in Halong Bay featuring exquisite seafood dishes and interacting with fellow travelers from many countries, a traditional water puppet show in Hanoi, a tour on the streets of old Hanoi eating local fare at restaurants which we would never have ventured out on our own. Yet there was plenty of time to interact with travelers from other countries also traveling on their own. We had the times of our lives without the headaches of "doing it ourselves".
